Well, I have been playing around in Lead Supreme for a couple of days now and am getting through the video and audio training that Howie Schwarts and Dr Mike Woo-Ming have provided.  It is pretty comprehensive from that point, the Camtasia videos do a great job of walking you through the site.

What is the one ’stand out’ feature that I have seen so far?  Well, a lot of thought has gone into this site and they have paid a lot of attention to human psychology in an attempt to make the lead capture exercise as effective as possible.

The main power comes from pre-populated forms at this early point.  And I think this is a very valuable tool.  Its probably only the top internet marketing gurus out there who have the time and money to invest in well structured systems that include pre-populated forms as you go through the process. 

Don’t be fooled however, this isn’t the be-all and end-all for this site and its not just transferring a name from a squeeze page into the intro text of the sales or one-time-offer page.  This is a fully functional system using an upsell / downsell methodology with each lead.

This is pretty powerful in my opinion and a great way to leverage this concept without any money on the line.

Leads are important and the foundation behind any successful business.  But it is not just leads that you want.  You want qualified potential buyers – but how and where do you find them?

Lead Supreme is live and so is the 10 day quest for $10,000!

There are 1000 trial packages of Lead Supreme available and the affiliate with the most leads after 10 days and the competitors are off and running.  The site went live at on the 13th October and after some technical challenges at launch, Howie Schwartz and Dr Mike Woo-Ming have come through in the clutch.

You have to wonder…another lead generation system:

Is there room?
Is this a recycled idea?
Will this take off and be everything they promised?

Well, its time to find out!

I wanted to take this time to give you my honest first impressions after spending over an hour looking around the site and listening to the intro audio and Camtasia videos.

For starters, the member interface is clear and well laid out and the training materials are easy to find so there is nothing preventing you from getting started with the learning that was promised straight away.  There are three audio programs to listen to and one Camtasia video to watch so there is no shortage there.

It does however seem to me that the site is being developed ‘on the fly’.  This comes mainly from the intro audio which indicates that not all of the features will be available during the trial.  This is a bit contrary to the sale page promises however I am sure that they will provide more than probably 60% of the people will use anyway.

The site stats are comprehensive, you can easily see your stats on the main page with clicks, leads and payments easily shown however while this might get you excited, there is still work to be done.

There is no software to download as each user is given a subdomain of their own to use and manage everything.  This side is where some of the early challenges arose since it apparently takes some time to create the subdomains so many people are still waiting for this component.  The training media is good however when two of the four links explain how to set up a site that you can’t see yet, then it leaves you feeling a little under-satisfied (especially when there is $10,000 up for grabs and some people have a clear head start).  They have actually extended the length of the competition for an additional two days to compensate for these challenges.

Not that I am complaining, I am impressed so far and wanted to get the first impressions into print while they were still the first impressions.  I am going to be posting as I learn on this one so you may see a few in a row from time to time.

You would have read in my post the other day that I had subscribed for the Lead Supreme 10 Day Trial.  If you missed that post, you can check it out here. 

I always believe that one of the true tests of any site or product launch is the back end support.  Unfortunately, it is normally only a process that you get to participate in once you have signed up or have a problem.  Normally, you need help NOW and NOW is normally when the server is choked with requests and the support staff are drowning in emails!

However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t get the message out that you are interested and want to help.

Unfortunately for me, due to the PayPal account that I chose to use for my signup to Lead Supreme, it handled the debit from my account as an E-Check and not as a direct payment so as a result, my account wasn’t active when the site went live.  (For those that aren’t aware E-Checks can take days to clear and most membership sites auto activate when paypal approves – so it will slow you down if you are not aware of it).

Anyway, the Lead Supreme site has obviously been flooded and I have to admit, they are doing a good job of handling it.  I have received a few emails from the site indicating that things are a bit slower than expected while they get it all up and running – this communication is great with the members.

I am also a regular visitor to the Warrior Forum and saw a post that someone was having trouble accessing the site.  This is where the guys really excelled themselves with both Harris Fellman (his group is handling the launch) and Howie Schwartz both posting comments on this forum about what was going on and what was being done about it. 

This is a great proactive approach to get in touch with many of your supporters all at once.

So my message here is that whenever you launch a product or are expecting some large traffic to your site – Be Prepared!  And also, be ready to take some creative measures to not only solving your problem, but communicating with your members (some who have paid good money to get what you are offering).

I have recently experienced similar exceptional service from Mike Filsaime on his back end for The 7 Figure Code (you can read about it Here) and I always believe that when I have money to spend, if I have to choose between someone I don’t know and someone I have had a positive customer experience with then I am going to choose the proven person because I know that no matter what, they care about the customer!

Keep it in mind, it is important and you should not look at Internet Marketing as a one and done transaction.  Build your customer relationships and you can have a customer for life.

As an online marketer, one of the questions that you have to ask yourself is “Do I offer a free giveaway to build my subscriber list?”

Depending on which internet marketing guru you listen to, you can get some very different opinions on this topic.  I recently listened in to a teleconference with Gary Ambrose who was quite clear with his view – free giveaways only build you a subscriber list of people who want stuff for free!

Its a very valid point and one of Gary’s strategies is to get subscribers to pay something for what they get and this was the foundation of his Nickle Mania sites.  The theory being that if someone pays you for the resource it will achieve two things:

1. Give them more incentive to read / use the tools they get.

2. Prove that they are willing to put their hand in their pocket and give you some of their hard earned cash.

There is merit to the arguement however just because people don’t want to pay for something now, doesn’t mean that they won’t pay in the future.  The original concept of the free giveaway was to allow you to have access to the subscriber, build a relationship with them, prove to them that you are an expert in the field and when they need more information, they will come directly to you, first and give you a chance to meet their needs.

Either way, the objective is to build a list of subscribers that will buy something from you in the future.

If you have a giveaway product you still need to get people to your site in order for them to download the giveaway – so how do you generate that traffic?

Everyone needs leads! Its a simple fact. 

You can argue left right and centre about the value of free giveaways vs small payment purchases to determine the buyers from the lookers and freebie hunters.  (I am going to cover that issue in my next post) But always look at the big picture, it is still a proven fact that you can turn a looker into a buyer by building a strong and valuable relationship.
